MUMMY AND DAUGHTER TIME

Hey Lovelies

I don't often get some alone time with Ella due to little Miss Issa being solely breastfed and the general hustle and bustle of everyday life as well as being a mother of two. 

Well, recently Ella was  unable to go to nursery as there had been an outbreak of chicken pox in her class and I didn't want her to first of all catch it; and secondly bring it home to her sister. The weather was nice and Ella was bored at home, she kept wingeing and saying that she wanted to go to "Kelly" (her nursery teacher Miss Kelly). So I decided to take her to the park.

I had a small window of roughly two hours before Issa woke up from her afternoon nap, so I decided to leave her with my mum and pack some lovely bits for Ella to eat whilst we were out. I packed this lovely personalised bento lunchbox from Petit Fernand UK and as some of you know, I am not a fan of Ella having juices or drinks so I used this water bottle, also from Petit Fernand UK.

This lunchbox is quite handy as it is small enough to fit into a rucksack but also has different compartments to include different types of food. I have even been known to pack a cheeky jollof rice in the lower compartment (picture not included). It also has a section with a removable ice pack where it can keep foods chilled or at a lower temperature.

I really enjoy these moments where Ella and I get to take some time out and do nothing. I get to see so much in her; how much she has grown; how articulate and opinionated she is becoming; how funny she is and how she sees the world through her two year old eyes. Like I said, it is something I desperately want to do more of.

I can think of so many other places we can use his lunchbox but it will especially come in handy as Ella will be starting Children's church/Sunday school soon and will be required to bring a packed lunch. The good thing is that I won't have to go to the trouble of labelling it as it has her name on it already.😄
